Privacy Policy

Your data is something you entrust to us, not a resource to exploit. Here you will find, in plain words, what information we collect, why, how long we keep it and how you stay in control.

1. Who processes your data

The data controller is:

Moranduzzo International S.r.l.
Via Salaria 290, 00199 Rome (RM), Italy
VAT no.: IT18038971000
Email: [email protected]

For any request concerning your data you can write to this address: we reply within one month, as the Regulation requires.

2. What data we collect

When you browse — technical data collected by cookies and measurement tools: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited. Non-technical cookies are activated only after your consent.

When you create an account — name, email address, password (stored in encrypted form, not even we can read it), billing and shipping addresses.

When you order — billing and delivery details, telephone number, order contents, chosen payment method. Card details never pass through our servers: they are handled directly by the payment provider.

When you request retailer access — company name, VAT number, business sector and the other company details needed to assess the request.

When you write to us through the contact form — name, email, telephone, city, type of request, order code where applicable and the text of your message. We also record the IP address the submission comes from: this serves solely to block automated submissions and abuse.

When you subscribe to the newsletter — your email address.

When you search the site — searches are counted in aggregated, anonymous form (search text, language, day, number of results) to understand what cannot be found and improve the catalogue. They are not linked to you or to your IP address.

  • To perform the contract — managing orders, payments, shipping, returns and your account. Without this data we cannot serve you.
  • To comply with legal obligations — issuing invoices, keeping accounts, responding to tax authorities.
  • For our legitimate interest — protecting the site from abuse and automated submissions, preventing fraud, defending a legal claim.
  • With your consent — newsletter, measurement and marketing cookies. Consent is freely given and you may withdraw it at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.

4. Cookies and measurement tools

We use technical cookies, necessary for the site and the cart to work, which do not require consent. We also use third-party measurement and marketing tools — Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, the Meta pixel — which are activated only after your consent.

Consent is collected through Cookiebot: from the panel that appears on your first visit you can choose which categories to accept, and change your mind at any time.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your data to anyone. We share it only with those we need in order to deliver what you ordered and to comply with the law:

  • couriers and shipping platforms (including GLS, DHL, UPS and ShippyPro), for delivery and tracking;
  • payment providers (PayPal, Stripe), which process payment data independently as controllers;
  • Mailchimp, for sending the newsletter;
  • Google and Meta, for the statistics and marketing activities you have authorised;
  • the site’s hosting and maintenance provider;
  • tax and accounting advisers, and the Italian Interchange System (SDI) for electronic invoicing;
  • authorities, where the law requires it.

Providers processing data on our behalf are appointed as data processors and bound by contract.

6. Transfers outside the European Union

Some providers (Google, Meta, Mailchimp) are based in the United States. In those cases the transfer takes place on the basis of the safeguards provided by the Regulation — adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

7. How long we keep your data

  • Account data: for as long as the account remains active. If you ask us to close it, we delete the data except what must be kept by law.
  • Orders and tax documents: 10 years, as required by Italian accounting legislation.
  • Contact form requests: for as long as needed to handle them and, if they do not lead to a commercial relationship, no longer than 24 months.
  • Newsletter subscription: until you unsubscribe.
  • Search statistics: without a time limit, because they are aggregated and cannot be traced back to anyone.

8. Your rights

The Regulation gives you the right to:

  • access the data we hold about you and request a copy;
  • correct it, if it is wrong or incomplete;
  • erase it, when there is no longer a reason to keep it;
  • restrict its processing, or object to processing based on legitimate interest;
  • receive your data in a readable format and take it elsewhere;
  • withdraw consent at any time, for the newsletter and cookies.

To exercise them, simply write to [email protected]. If you believe your data is being handled improperly, you may contact the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it), or the supervisory authority of your country of residence.

9. How we protect your data

The site runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Passwords are stored using non-reversible hashing algorithms. Access to data is limited to those within our organisation who genuinely need it for their work. Payment card details neither pass through nor are stored on our systems.

10. Changes to this notice

If we change the way we process data, we will update this page and the last-updated date at the top. Where the change is significant, we will let you know more visibly.

Questions about your data

If something is unclear, or you want to know exactly what we hold about you, write to us: we reply in plain words, not with a form.
