Hanging ornament
An acorn fallen from the Siberian woods
There is an ancient gesture in those who gather acorns beneath the trees in winter, and this little subject tells that story as it hangs from the branches. It is not a showy ornament: it is a detail that recalls nature, the woods, the snow settling on simple things.
Standing 8 cm tall, this acorn in wood and unbreakable material brings a tone to the tree that is both rustic and elegant, able to balance the shinier decorations with a direct nod to matter and earth.
The material and the colour
The wood gives the shape body and warmth, while the white that accompanies it evokes the frost and snow of the north. Two elements that together convey the Nordic spirit of the subject, with nothing else needed.
Where to place it
This is a subject that fits well into compositions with a Scandinavian or rustic character, alongside pine cones, wooden stars and warm lights. It finds its place on both a large fir tree and a smaller one, where its compact size never weighs down the composition.
